SOMEBODY STARVES

Nell Carter sees the food system from the receiving end.

SOMEBODY STARVES follows the last mile of food access, where transportation, pantry hours, refrigeration, staffing, labor, receiving capacity, culturally usable food, route failure, dignity, and timing determine whether available food ever reaches a person.

Food can exist.

A donor can give.

A truck can leave.

A pantry can care.

And somebody can still miss the table.

SOMEBODY STARVES is a 444-page POLYFLY Foundation Era story about hunger, dignity, logistics, transportation, labor, food access, capacity, and the difference between having resources somewhere in a system and getting those resources to a human being.
